PerSister in Song Part II

In honor of Mother's Day Weekend and in conjunction with the exhibition "Per(Sister): Incarcerated Women of Louisiana," Newcomb Art Museum hosted members of The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra- NOJO, led by Victor Atkins on the keyboard, for a free performance of original songs inspired by the stories of Louisiana's incarcerated women in addition to a selection of music that celebrated motherhood!
